Tetralogy of Fallot is a complex congenital heart defect that consists of four abnormalities: pulmonary stenosis, a ventricular septal defect (VSD), an overriding aorta, and right ventricular hypertrophy. These defects together cause oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart and into the rest of the body. Symptoms include cyanosis (bluish skin due to low oxygen), difficulty breathing, and fatigue. TOF often requires surgical correction to improve oxygenation and heart function.
